Home Improvements

Daniel and I have been in our home together for almost 3 years now which also means we have been married almost 3 years! Yipee! We have been working on the house since he bought it back in November 2007! Everytime we cross one thing off the list we add something else in it's place! Currently I am re-doing our living room! We painted the kitchen and the living room the same color when we were renovating for economical purposes! Cheaper to buy a huge bucket of paint :) but not necessarily the most fun!

While on vacation I was flipping through Southern Living and Country Living and I was noticing the theme of white...I like white so I went with it. I painted to living room a creamy white...it doesn't have a paint name because we scored a $5 bucket of paint in the clearance at Lowes! I already had sage, light turquoise pillows so those were my colors. Plus I saw it in Country Living and adored it! I have carefully decided what I wanted on each wall and each spot so I didn't make mistakes or get ahead of myself. I finished my picture wall and thankfully had 99% of the frames. I got a few from the thrift store to complete the look. Hubs is also building me a pottery barn shelf that I tore out of their magazine a while ago! It retails for close to $400...not exactly what I had in mind....scrap wood for the project works great for me because that means free!!

Here is some of my inspirational finds:

PB Shelf hubs is building for me! Can't wait until it's finished!

Once my room is done I will put some update pictures!! Happy Decorating!
